What is mAh Wh and How to check application battery usage

Today I was working on battery test and like to share some basic concepts about Battery..

Battery power defines by mAh and Wh.. Here we have their means.

mAh is battery milliampere usage in a hour. If battery is of 1000 mAh and application consumes 100 mAH battery then total battery will drain in 10 hour.

Wh stands for Watt hours

So mAh is equal to Whur times 1000 divided by volts:

mAh = Wh × 1000 / V

Dont be confused!! both are only measurement units.

But I was surprised why the blackberry reduced its mAh for new devices.
i.e. 9700 had a better mAH than 9800 and 9790.

9700 - 1550mAh
9800 - 1270mAh
9790 - 1240mAh

A good tool to check current battery state is BatteryWatch for BB.
Also, the BB Resource Monitor is best.
Though you can check  Memory and CPU usage Tools> Device> Application Management> swipe touch pad from left to right and you will get all one by one.

Formula to calculate actual application usage

App battery usage = total battery drain with app - total battery drain without app
