Your Health With Samsungs Health on Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note 10 1

Your Health With Samsungs Health on Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note 10 1

Samsung solutions help patients keep track of their key health data, while healthcare professionals can go paperless securely
Samsung’s best-selling smartphone, the Galaxy S III, can now help its owners stay healthy with its new S Health application. S Health is a personal wellbeing application that collects, tracks and analyses data from healthcare sensors such as blood glucose meters, blood pressure monitors and body composition scales. The application works both on the Galaxy S III and Samsung’s newest tablet device, the Galaxy Note 10.1. Both devices can receive the data via Bluetooth or USB. The application then generates graphs and tables that help users to know straight away whether they are maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Samsung, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, is also helping healthcare professionals to communicate more efficiently. Samsung e-Meeting is an integrated, secure and server-free system that allows paperless communication and sharing of documents in real-time. The solution not only makes sharing sensitive patient data more efficient, it is also more secure, because the information is shared via the host’s presentation screen. Samsung e-Meeting is ideally suited to the healthcare profession, which faces the unique challenge of having to improve communication between professionals while ensuring total patient confidentiality at all times.

Samsung will showcase the applications on its flagship mobile devices - the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note 10.1 - for the first time in Europe at the DigiPharm & Pharma Marketing Show EU 2012. Samsung will also announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Health Network Communications at the event.

Simon Stanford, Vice President, UK & IRE Telecommunications & Networks Division, Samsung UK and Ireland said: “We are dedicated to driving innovative technologies forward in a variety of fields and are delighted to be introducing the S Health App, the latest addition to our mobile solutions for the medical and healthcare industry. The app will not only support the medical service in becoming more efficient, it will also reduce costs and allow patients to monitor their own health with the support of their healthcare service.”

Smart devices are changing how people monitor and improve their health, and Samsung aims to play a key role in the establishment of an ecosystem for mobile solutions business development in the healthcare industry.
