What Interests Me About The New Tecno L8
I have used the L8 for a week and 3 days now, it will only be interesting for me to share my experience with you guys. For some of us that know Tecno phones, we know they are symbols of long standby. The L8 has a super large 5050MAH battery which makes it the longest lasting smart phone produced. It has 5.2mm awesome edge and a 5.5 HD IPS screen which gives you the best details while watching videos. For me, its most beautiful feature is the battery.
Here is why the L8 is a must have;
The battery;
5050MAH SUPER LARGE BATTERY
Tecno wowed us by providing us with a volcanic battery. It is a 5050MAH battery which allows you use it for over 5 days without worrying about how to charge it. Depending on the usage of the phone, the battery is liable to exceed 5 days.
Another beautiful feature is that you do not have to worry about how long it will charge because at 5 minutes, you can make 70 minutes continuous call, and after 30 minutes, your battery is fully charged.
The OTG reverse charge;
Alongside the awesome battery, the L8 comes with an OTG (On The Go) reverse charge. This makes it possible for you to charge peripheral devices thereby making you less worried about having a power bank.
The OTG has also made it possible for you to convert your L8 to a mini laptop. This allows you use a mouse, or connect a projector, using multi chords, and the battery is there to never fail you.
The HiOS
SEAMLESS BROWSING EXPERIENCE; A BROWSER BUILT ON CHROMIUM ENGINE
The HiOS was built on a chromium engine which has made download faster and also allows you pause and resume downloads. It was designed for efficiency. Easy navigation and better arrangement is very possible because most controls are placed at the bottom of the screen. Basically, the HiOS has been able to place more priority on productivity and simplicity.
Ultra power saving
Impeccability at its peak. Including the 5050MAH, and the HiOS, the phone also has an ultra-power saving mode. I must emphasise that this is different from the Power saving mode on the device. The ultra-power saving mode can only give users access to phone calls, messages, notebook, calculator, sound recorder and clock. Until the ultra-power saving mode is deactivated, other applications would be turned off. This helps you save the battery a great deal. Its short cut is the only button on the top left hand side of the phone.
The Camera
BETTER VIEWS WITH WIDE ANGLE
The L8 interestingly comes with an 8MP back camera, while the front camera is 2MP. The 8MP allows for pictures to be taken in a wider angle, giving room for details. The light in the camera can be adjusted for more light to be allowed into the phone, thereby making it produce a better image. The opportunity for the photographer to focus on the particular part of the image before taking the snapshot has increased accuracy.
The Micro Intelligence awesome features
THE QUICK START FUNCTION
The L8 also has among its features the quick launch gesture. The user is expected to use his finger to form a shape on the screen, this gesture will launch the applications attached to the proposed letters you must have configured.
For instance, a letter C could launch the camera, the letter W could launch whatsapp, depending on the command you have given to it.
TAPPING TO WAKE
The L8 has among its features the opportunity for users to double tap to wake the screen and also double tap to turn off the screen.
THE MUSIC GESTURE
When the screen is asleep, the user can slide to the left to switch music to previous, slide to the right to switch music to the next, slide up to stop or pause a music and slide down to switch on the music.
THE FLIP MUTE
Flip the phone to mute calls as well as music. This is invalid when the screen is off.
THE WAVE ANSWER
Moving your hand over the sensor automatically answers an incoming call.
TAKE SCREEN SHOT WITH THREE FINGERS
Sliding down with three fingers will automatically take a screen shot. Really cool!
COVER SILENCE
Covering the phone with your palm will automatically silence an incoming call.
The L8 has proven to be a device that can replace your laptop and even your tablet. It is durable, beautiful and reliable. It is definitely not over rated.
